Here are some photos from the Building Bridges Activity. Staff worked in teams to come up with one word that described something they all had in common. They drew and decorated their word. They then used toothpaste to decorate their word. They thought the most creative/neatest would be the winner. I then told them they had to work together to put ALL of the toothpaste back into the tube ( without cutting it open) This is supposed to be "impossible" but some of the groups managed to figure out a way to make it happen. You all did an amazing job!!
The real reason for doing this activity was to demonstrate that toothpaste can’t be forced back into the toothpaste tube. And the same thing is true of the words we use when speaking.
Once something is said, we can’t get those words back again. That’s why it is so important to think about what we’re about to say before we say it Especially in the workplace to our co-workers,
the children and the parents we work with.
